Dodge dakota cranks but doesn't start?

if its a coil when it cools back down it will usually start and run again,that sounds like a bad crank senor on it,when they decide to go bad it doesn't matter where your at or what your doing they just go out,if you know someone with a scanner have them hook it up to it and crank it over and it will throw a trouble code for what caused that too happen,your right on the coil they will usually cool down and run again unless it shorted out then its dead,the only thing that the mechanic could have accidentally done to it was knock the oil sending unit wire loose on it,good luck with it.
