My pictures are coming out too dark?

I just got my Nikon D2H and the pictures are way to dark, i have it on auto iso and auto w.b and the day shots out side are ok, but a little dark and at night its impossible to shoot, even at dusk when it is a little light out still its all dark in the results, on my point and shoot i can shoot those better, what am I doing wrong?
