Does it really matter if i catch uxie, azelf, and mesprit?

2 of them take a whole lot of dusk balls and resets to catch and i heard that it's even harder to catch mesprit. is it so important that i catch them? or can i just battle them and KO them just to fill up my pokedex? i just need to see azelf and uxie to complete it.
