Is Jarryd Hayne over-rated?

Possibly yes, possibly no. We all know that he is the darling of most of the media and that Gus has a man-crush on him. He has been too inconsistent this year to really tell. If he weren't overrated, his play in the first half of the season wouldn't have been as miserable as it was. He only seemed to be shaken awake after his little tiff with Anderson. With some of the reactions he exhibits on the field, it appears as if he is really full of himself and if that's the case he has a lot of maturing to do if he ever wants to gain the respect of his fellow team mates and other players in the league. One thing I do know is that the continued success of the Eels doesn't rest on his shoulders alone. He by himself is not going to get Parra to the playoffs; its got to be a team effort, and there are glimpses of that happening.
